Thank You Mica, sorry for my rambling post. I had enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine after a stressful day. I think it is starting to sink in what a loss for everyone when Halcyon is finally taken away from all of us. I was also thinking of Wanderer and the frequent visits. I know it is way too late. What a loss for everyone. Sad realization.. The wood parts are rotten or gone. I do wish there was a way to preserve the rock other than a terrace. The craftsmanship can not be duplicated. I know it would cost a fortune to recreate it. I think there will be real sense of loss for the community when it is leveled and gone. I am sure they will not mention the hassle of trespassers and vandals. Thanks again Mica I appreciated your kind words.
It seems a terrible shame for someone not to salvage those pillars and the plaster-work above them. That kind of craftsmanship is truly a thing of the past. I would love to have them!
You can get a Posey jacket on the website if you can provide proof that your a magician or you can always go through a professional registered magic dealer.
Jackets like those are meant for people who are a danger to themselves and others and serve good purpose.
Being an escape artist I studied different designs and models of new and old jackets.
The Posey is usually the hardest to get out of.
My personal record is 45 seconds.
My heart breaks for this poor woman that seemed to want nothing more than to be independent from her family after she completed her college education. I had to know more. A lot of the links above are no longer active but I found a couple of articles that gave a more complete picture of the horrors of this poor girls life. http://www.kirkbridebu...pic.php?f=18&p=10009 http://sometimes-inter...-of-gennie-pilarski/
I graduated from Eden Hall in 1966 and had the privilege of being in this beautiful chapel every day. When the contents were auctioned, my aunt bought two of the brass candlesticks that were on the altar and gave them to me. When I looked at your photos, I could see the chapel as it was. Thank you for these beautiful images.
