just to the right of this pic is the stairs that leadto the basement, pretty creepy at night but its nice to see the old telephone exchange room with all its huge clear glass batteries intact

This photo brings back some fond memories.......after riding the flume, my dad would always take us on this ride to dry out.....but instead of calling it "sky line".......he would call it "the clothes line"

It is sad what time, man, and wheather can do to these wonderful structures.

Reminds me of the dumps where people had to take off their clothes and had all their personal belongings confiscated before being gassed in Aushwitz... history class.. *shiver*

Worked here in 1947 as a peanut vendor during midget auto races...remember other events as well, such as the "Paterson Panthers" semi-pro football team games coached by Ali Sherman, who later became head coach of the New York Giants, and a farewell appearance tour by Babe Ruth, who hit some soft balls out into the stands . He was dying of cancer at the time. I remember getting to the stadium by bus from Totowa, where I lived.. I could hear the midget racers (especially the outboard powered ones) from my house on Union Boulavard on hot summer nights . Seling in the stands on a good night you could make as much as 15$. Good memories. Sad to see what has happened to the place. Incidentally, the school building didn't exist in 1947.

I dug one of these up in our junk pile today. I gave it away as a joke for replacement of a calculator I had lost. Good laughs. Those things are kind of funny.

I love how there are such random items at Letchworth strewn all over the place. I remember when I went there just a few months ago there were torsos of those CPR dummies EVERYWHERE! I must have counted at least 10!
