Is this cupola for sale? I would love more information on it.

50 years ago, we would write on notebooks for example, ' RP + BW ', meaning Roger Porter likes Beth Watson. That's what it looks like here, RP likes ... someone but the photo doesn't capture the entire carved message.

I visited family on the 2nd floor of the B unit in the mid 1980's. Patients were there for 30 days. The first floor was for the patience that were long term.

This orange glow is just magnificent.

My mum use to take food over to this side of the hospital before it closed and she said it would creep her out every time she had to cross the bridge. Apparently the air smelt awful too.

Oooh! This is that barf powder they would use in schools to clean up when someone vomited! I can still clearly remember how it smelled. Yuck!

Motts, I think you're right with your explanation. Warm air would rise through the heating ducts to come out of the ceiling vents, and as it cooled, it would fall towards the floor/the cold air return.

i would sure like to purchase this facility sooner the better.....

It’s not even a Pentagram. It’s a Pentacle. For the record, a Pentagram is a 5 point star. A Pentacle is a 5 point star with a circle around it. The Pentagram is older than the Pentacle.

For evil and satanic uses, the INVERTED Pentgram was used mostly. For the Pentacle, I found this info: “As for the pentacle, the term is less associated with the “inverted representation”. I’m not entirely sure if this means that they didn’t “invert” the Pentacle for satanic purposes, or they just didn’t use it as much.

Looks like at one point the little window had been a larger one that was bricked in.
