The lighting and the greenish tinge make this photograph something else. Very atmospheric...

Fantastic shot, as always, Motts :)

It is so true. Years ago people would think of putting little finishing touches on buildings, small decorative things that would add greatly to the character of a building. Nowadays it is all about necessity and sterility... Oh, how I miss the old Victorian styling...!

They're actually called "stops"...like in the phrase, "pull out all the stops". It's a reference to the organ.

You, dear photograher, are truely brilliant. I visited this hospital today hoping to get some good photos myself but was chased away by security gaurds. How did you manage to get in?

Probably "keys", therefore a referance to St. Peter, to whom Jesus gave the keys to Heaven. Need a "straighter" shot to know for sure, though.
The original Gravesend is in Kent, East of London, Pocahontas died there & is burried in a church yard in the town.

I played the piano my entire life. I have hardly touched it for the last 9 years, this picture represents that for me. Reason being. Piano keys remind me of the day my mother was shot and killed outside my piano lesson. So painfully beautiful for me, if that makes sense to anyone. My life changed that day forever, and my soul has evolved onto another level. I will be dusting of my piano's keys soon, when I'm finished writing my book.
Piano is my most inner core.
