It's gone now, been gone for a few years. I primarily look into US psych hospitals, but I ended up peaking at this un'.
I know where all Your pictures are, in every single Gallery, and today I end up at stairs at Cherry Knowle Hospital, (because I love it, and long GONE now I know) - but Your pictures are still here, and I miss You. Where A R E you?
May you always be well is a daily wish.

How stupid indeed to demolish and tear down - it is so good-looking......
Look at that plant - now...how did it survive? Nature mystery.
And the hair-driers are always left ......
but am always thinking "they had their hair set"
- it IS very nice, done well it lasts a week.....
My dad used to bring me here in the 90s and I really enjoyed this place, now i can hardly believe I used to jump in this pool one night while everyone was away I had this pool all to myself now goodness me did I really jump into this, I wouldn't be surprised if the floating boards had been floating in the pool since my last visit.

Yes, Grumpy Ole Artist, I have had "Home By the Sea" by Genesis going through my head many times while looking through these galleries. Plus a few times doing my own exploration. Of course I am a long way away from a sea...

What a shame they knocked down this building, I live nearby and went to look at it a few times before it was demolished, it could of easily been converted into flats, or some sort of health spa hotel.

I used to deliver supplies from the stores to the wards, and was always nervous on East 2, especially when patients started to run along the walls at you.
Although I never saw it, I was told there was a padded room where a patient would be locked in when the staff could not control them.
They were often doing things to themselves whilst sitting on their beds, if you know what I mean.
Very atmospheric
Excellent
Another stunning picture, you can actually "feel" it
Stunning Picture!
