I was at Salesian in the mid 80's..it was a really beautiful place..not fun to keep up and we the students sort of resented being used as "slave labor"..looking back it wasnt such a bad place to be.

To me it looks like a circuit board holder. You clip a circuit board either in between or into the tabs on the top to hold it still and closer to eye level when you work on it. This would make sense if it was near the other electronics stuff, and like dme said, the company made electronic components.

To think back then that's the way people where tough away.
it's just sad think to think you might have had some you love in such a place.what happen to the ones where there last ?

Sadly, this is what is what is happening to amusement parks all across the nation eventually. These amusement parks seem to be a thing of the past for us generations that remember having fun at these places with family and friends over the years. It's sad in another way that many generations still coming up will have no clue, no concept, nor respect for what true fun times could be had that was once a descent, wholesome form of entertainment like a fun day spent at amusement parks. Instead there are iPods, computer games, and HD-TV's. Entertainment remains at home nowadays it seems. I am so thankful and very glad that I have memories of going to amusement parks throughout the years; hearing the carousel music, the player pianos "nickelodeons" playing some long forgotten century old tune stuck in a time of simplicity, riding the rides, playing the carnival games. Why don't these amusement parks make it anymore? Is it a lack of interest? lack of public- drawing attendance? Or simply that these amusement parks have lost their appeal thanks to these crummy economic depressing times?

Silly me! I just read your caption. It still has a creepy effect though. Please disregard my earlier post.

It almost appears to me that there is a black ghost-like blur- image in the photo that looks as though it is walking toward the photographer. Whether it is due to causes like mold/ mildew/ water damage, or simply the layout of the building in general, or just a trick of light and shadow, it still lends a creepy haunted effect. It caught my attention most of all. Very interesting. :)

These seats are just like the ones that were in our old school auditorium . Of course it's long gone and replaced now!

Gosh...I've been here so many times in the past couple years!! I have a whole bunch of pictures if anyone is interested.

I miss this place.All the people who worked here were amazing and so dedicated,My grandma and 2 aunts worked here for as long as I can remember and I grew up on all of these grounds with them visiting,and making (some of the safer!!) patients happy,there were so many stories and things I have learned here.It is almost majestic and your pictures are so captivating,you should be so proud of yourself as these mean a lot to me and my family and you have done this place a true justice.
