This is the photo on the opening page where I though this was going to be a 'church gallery'. Boy was I surprised, lol.

If this was considered NOT ornate, I'm at a loss for what would be considered to ornate. This is beautiful.

Beautiful. Must admit though, that when I saw the photo on the opening page, I thought it was a church. This photo looks more like someone's mansion or manor house.

@Carolyn: Oh settle down. Most of those people aren't even alive anymore. Things were handled very differently in the past, and those records were already decades old by the time they closed that hospital, as you have to keep them on file for a number of years before you can get rid of them. Talk about overreaction. Shredding also wasn't common then, and I guarantee you they didn't promise anyone they would be destroyed.

@kathleen: Unless you were a patient there before they closed THIS hospital in the early 80's, you have nothing to worry about. You obviously go to the current location. Again, those records would have been decades old by the early '80's, and I doubt you've been a patient THAT long.
Skills you all
Thanks, Motts - gives mystical otherworldly quality, enthralling; very cool tunnel indeed.

It is really sad because 99% of these buildings are so beautiful. Gary could be such a beautiful city! So many cities could be beautiful people have lost sight of what is important......humans lack pride.
