Cacophony

We entered the old Palace Theater through some very well-worn paths, and remained quiet and cautious inside, as it seemed to be frequented often. It's a monstrous hulk of a building devoid of original details, and as it leaked rusty water down the back of my neck, I found it almost difficult to believe it was once an opulent and comfortable place to be. But looking up - there it was, a curved ceiling, still somehow partially suspended, and painted a cerulean blue that must have looked even more amazing back in the day. The vastness of the space can take you by surprise, and listening to the ever present drips and creaks can make you want to stay for quite some time to enjoy it all.
