I've explored Kings Park several times, although yesterday I made a special trip to the campus after seeing these pictures. I was determined to find and photograph this adorable little trike. Unfortunately, when I found the playground the trike was gone :( Thanks for posting these pictures, though, Motts! At least I saw the trike indirectly!

A radiator, a blue-violet door with a heavy lock, AND a window, and the very high ceiling - most strange. A store-room? For what?? So narrow. Not a lot would fit in there. Could look at this forever and ponder; yet will never know! Love this picture, Mr. Motts, you are great!

Double polished oak doors, with arched windows, too, and a finely crafted espagnolette: must have looked really good!

I removed asbestos (properly & legally) from all the buildings in 2002, demolished the smaller buildings (avg 40,000 sf) at that time and now taking down Bldg 23 (with wings 22 & 24). These structures are all obsolete and of no value other than the land they sit on. There are definitely Spirits still in residence, several laborers this week claimed to see two women one dressed in white and one dressed in black. The site has been a gang hideout for the last 10 years, signs of MS13, Latin Kings, and others are quite evident, clear land will be much nicer and safer for all concerned. Don't come back seeking access, dogs are patrolling.
