Hi, I went to Royal Lands last year and none of the rides are still there. it's a troop through the overgrown woods to make it to the actual grounds. Not much was left other than an old grandstand, an old night club, the drive-in movie theater screen, the bathrooms, and a few booths. The place is completely trashed but still beautiful in its own ways.

I have done much research on Pennhurst and it upsets me knowing what was happening to the people who were brought there. I always wonder what the families thought when say their loved one with bruises and teeth missing. I wonder if the felt guilty or nothing at all. I know from reading many children if came out a live went to other families other than theirs because of knowing. I also know that also some of the people who were there went to other asylums because their family couldn't help them. what also surprised me was the state payed for everything. I;m just happy it had been closed down enough souls were lost there.

Its crazy to see all the pictures. The pictures are great the really kind of show the hospitals history. I like the stories of the history of the hospital its amazign how much medical things have advanced from what they where to what they are now. It freaks me out to see how people where treated back then.

I'm so glad you posted more photos oh NSH. They've been having more and more discussions of demolishing the buildings and have began to put up the demolition fencing. It breaks my heart.

Security is so tight at NSH. Hard for vandals to get within the property. I witnessed an older woman trying to visit this Hebrew cemetery about a year ago and she got escorted off the property instantly.
