That's an explorers' nightmare.

There's a pit like this in a location in MA, about the same size, my cohort stepped right over it without noticing. When i saw it with my flashlight, i actually couldn't believe he didn't fall in..i was like "holy shit!" lol
It's a shame they didn't use this as a set location back in the 1970s when Emergency! was filming in the area. This would have made a great stage for a few rescues for Station 51!

It's just a few miles from Station 127 which is the real station used in the show.

I think this picture is one of my favourite ones... I have a sister with brain paralysis and she uses one of this until today. Seeing an equipment I am so familiar with abandoned in a place like this really made me think. Wonderfull gallery!
