There is recent medical research that cannibis may be beneficial in controlling the severe chronic grand mal seizures of epilepsy!! Another plus for the medical use of marihuana !!
In 2014, the current and new facility, The Worcester Recovery Center, stands next to the former main building that used to house the patients. This has now been deemed structurally unsound and is slated for demo. The clocktower has been dismantled and the bricks that were part of it are being used to construct some sort of replica. This is a painstacking process due to the fact that each one of them needs to be numbered and recorded before they can be used to construct the new tower. There is still one older building that stands on the grounds and I believe there are plans to renovate it and turn it into an educational center of some kind (but don't quote me on that one, I could be mistaken). Anyway, just an FYI about the current status of this facility in case anyone is curious!
I had a corner room on the 2nd floor of The Ritz. How have you been Steve Maxx, Hank was my boss until he had no choice but leave. he was on his way out anyway. Steve took over and did a great job even though it was pretty new to him. Steve was a hell of a juggler too! but I miss The Pines and the times we had.
I ran that spotlight for many years from 83-87 and even learned to run soundbooth. I was also house dj. Miss all the fun we had there and remember almost everyone I worked with.
Thanks Sean, no, permission to access these kinds of places are rarely doled out due to the dangerous conditions of the buildings, legal reasons, etc. Sneaking in does add a lot of excitement to the journey.
