I thought tub room as well, but the forms are a bit too small, and there are no holes in the floor for plumbing. Two large shadows can be seen against the wall which line up with those narrow concrete forms along the wall, and there's a little mystery door in the corner.

Under the plaster was a larger terracotta brick, instead of the standard brick used elsewhere.

I don't think so; the furniture left behind in the wards was pretty empty.

The marks in the photo were more of an exception; I don't recall many other scratches/marks in the building.

Thanks again all.

fonijoni - unfortunately we had to keep our exploration somewhat restricted to the center of the island. I would've very much liked to check out the Nike missile site, the Ebbets Field bleachers, the SC-B1 grave and other buildings.

Wow I suppose they are shoes - they've been sitting in that window for so long, they look like wooden forms.

BKW - I was wondering the same; I assume the radiators had been scrapped, but there must've originally been a boiler somewhere since there are no fireplaces and the power plant wasn't built until 1912. I'm guessing all the buildings tapped into those dynamo room steam lines after it was constructed.

That's pretty wild, thanks for the memories Randy, and sorry about your friend; it still amazes me how dangerous these places are to work at.

Thanks for the heads up! This user has re-posted hundreds of my photos for some reason... I've contacted Facebook with a copyright violation, and hopefully they'll take them off.
