yeah I pretty much concluded that the Soap Dispenser is an immortal meme at this point! Yayy haha lol, but I mean that plastic jar really did look like a lamp shade, so I never blamed him per se:) ~Robert B.
Cool, Thank you Vereda, for the fond memories, and what years did you walk this fine school?
It is kinda a shame someone didn't send that off to be preserved and placed on a museum wall. But in a way you preserved a memory of it, wonder what happened to it after you left?
Nice shot, Motts! Yeah the fence is there for a reason, looks sketchy. And that's the thing that makes me want to see it all, to know what inside... And the trees and shrubs framed around it, like they would devour the building before modern machines gave it a thought.
Wow one of the best shots from this place! I've been through this gallery before but had not noticed that ceiling fan before. It's hard to tell from the top but that's either a General Electric or Hunter fan from the 1930's.
Yay! Train cars with fans are my favorite, I wish someone tells us who made those fans.
A picture with no comment, that's a first for me. I have been contemplating what exactly the figure on the left is and gave up. odd way to draw a face/head lol, if it's even that.
Charming, great place! I wish it had been mine. Thank you for your time that day 10 years ago.
You are right Selena, It's an American Standard toilet from the 1960's, back when their logo was printed as 'Standard' in a somewhat gothic font.
Thank you too Motts for that one! I never heard of it somehow until now. It will renew my enjoyment of your old galleries, as i can imagine what they might have created had they stepped in the many cool places you shot :) 99rooms images were from East Berlin Germany. This might be the developer's website. http://www.rostlaub.com/

There is a website that lets you "explore" Overbrook. It is http://www.whiteenamel.com and the pics used are newer than Motts' pics so there is a mild amount of decay shown. Great aerial shot at the beginning and good exterior shots. It's a point and click game and you can use your tab key if you can't find where to click. You'll need to refresh the page at the end of each segment. The backstory: The website was created as ephemera for "The Blair Witch Project" and features footage from a fake 60's documentary about Maryland asylums, Overbrook was staged as the "Maryland State Institute for the Criminally Insane", home of fictional Kyle Brody. (not the character from "Charmed" btw) He was the lone survivor of 8 kidnapped children who were ritualistically murderd by Rustin Parr, believed to have been possessed by the Blair Witch. This led to Kyle being very troubled as an adult, leading to his admission to "MSICI" More on that here: http://www.bluedaniel....archived/rustinparr/

But thanks for the pics anyway Motts I've been curious about this place ever since a paranormal team featured it in one of their episodes.

Allegedly, around a hundred people perished of hypothermia in Overbrook's first decade due to a failed boiler not powering any radiators. But i haven't verified that. _Robert B.
Freiheit i think their's another one in buffalo state.
Hey that's the same soap dispenser from KPPC. I work for a bathroom and kitchen remodeling company and i was so pleasantly surprised when i picked up a fairly recent Moen brochure and they still make this very model, in chrome these days. Plus Ive seen an older version in real life this past october 8-D

You've never seen a Mormon/Lds Chapel have you, Motts? This is still pretty elegant in comparison. Mica's gonna freak when she sees the cool lamps :) Whereas they usually just have plain white glass lamps in those churches.
