Following Old Footsteps

My first visit to the Lyman School was back in 2006, as a sort of side adventure while exploring the nearby state hospital. Despite the guard dog training facility on campus and disturbing things we found inside, it was a fairly relaxing experience compared to sneaking around a very active psychiatric facility.

When I returned to Westborough in 2018, I retraced my steps through both places to see how they fared after twelve years, and I was surprised to see that not much had changed at Lyman. Two large cottages I had shot previously were still abandoned, though they were secured rather well these days. I noticed the old power plant and warehouse which I hadn't seen the first time around, and made a trip inside the former. Lyman wasn't spectacularly photogenic, but the history behind these buildings was rather interesting, and it was nice to see some relics of the past still lingering in a state where strip malls and cookie cutter condominiums have spread like wildfire.
