Wow . . . just . . . wow :,-( This is such a sad photo to me because it really seems as like that Lion is in such mortal fear and anguish, just as if he knew exactly what was to happen. Damn :( _Robert B.
I've never seen this model before, but I love the shot!
That is a "Standard" Madstone, simply a floor mounted male urinal. Female urinals are incredibly rare but unmistakable, they jut out from the wall quite long and are real narrow so she can straddle her legs around it. But what proper lady wants to do that now ;-) _Robert B.
Yeah those are fire bells and an alarm button below, you can also see the smaller general purpose bell above. There are a few more captured in Mott's work around this site, trying to find them all is like an easter egg hunt:) If I saw these in person, I could probably tell who made it, as I frequently admire old alarms whenever I see some. -Robert B.
Not even if it was the last shower on Earth, I'd bath with the fish.
It's so Silent Hill-esque =8-o
Thanks for the tour Motts, those types of old power plants sure are classic. Are you going to start posting your galleries from the flooded houses from Katrina up soon, those would be pretty to see.
Fine shot! were they pretty stable or not? whole place looks fun for spelunking.
"Defenestration" is the act of throwing someone or something out a window.
Wow, this is just like that scene in the first Silent Hill movie, where the already decayed bathroom starts disintegrating further as the siren sounds and the monsters come out.
I can't imagine those things could suck enough to actually pick a 165 pound body off the ground, I really can't. I heard that story on a show about Sloss Furnace in Birmingham, was that your place?
I bet some people bonked heads a time or two, when the tried to look in at the same time, ouch! But it makes a cool pic -Robert B.
Bah - dum - tsssssss

No it is definitely not being torn down, the are renovating pretty well, there is a website with some info about it but I forget what the link is. There will be public businesses in there some day:) -Robert B.
