There is such agony in the death of your brother. There is no answer that can sooth away the pain. I can only say I pray that your heart hears the love of God.You are his child. He hears your agony and self judgement. There is no way he would ever judge the ill guilty of the disease that over comes them. He did not come to punish the cripple, or the insane, he came to save them. God Bless You

Thanks Ladyhawke! I must be getting confused with another park then. I know we used to go to Bethany Beach each summer when I was really little, so I'm probably getting those rides confused with these. I must be getting the Dwarves' Mine ride confused with the Ali Baba boat ride then! I do remember that mine. Didn't they sing too? And wasn't there some sort of carriage ride as well...or is my memory playing tricks on me?

That's terrible about the family thing. My little cousin is autistic. He barely talks (he'll be 5 this year, in December) and acts in the manner of a 2 year old (VERY hyper & sometimes destructive)...yet the child could say the alphabet backwards when he was 3, without even taking a pause to think.

It's great to know the history of this place. Thanks Tony, Jerry, & Matt!
Beautiful pic too, Motts. I love how the light fixture contrasts against the dark of the peeling wall.

All you sick fucks who think its so cool to hang out in a mental hospital ought to spend some time in one as a patient. It ain't a whole lot of fun.

My brother suffered from schizophrania and , even on medicine, he used to talk to people that weren't there and see things that weren't there. It was very scarey! I really never felt his condition was treated properly. Til the day he died, he was never the same.

Motts, have you ever found any rats or other rodents in these places?
