Man, after Sked's comment....there is absolutely nothing else to say. What a hoot....glad I wasn't drinking anything at the time.
Incredible pictures of an incredible building! I tried to copy/paste the ironwork pictures, but saved the links instead - hoping they will be valid for awhile. I'm a blacksmith and got some project inspiration from some of the railings. I spent a lot of time in Germany in the past, wish I had known about this hospital so I could have seen it. Great pictures!

I immediately thought the same as Tracie - the Grim Reaper. Looks like he's trying to draw us into the crypt with him.

I truly hate snow, but this photo is so beautiful, peaceful, and tranquil that I may even start liking snow! I can't stop looking at it.

I have explored WSH several times. The first time I ever stumbled across this staircase, I my jaw did drop. What a treasure! I was so thrilled to have found it. WSH actually has a lot of fascinating, winding, mysterious, and often beautiful staircases. But this one unquestionably is the most beautiful.

I've looked at alot of the stuff on this website, i like it! But what comes to mind is the vanity of it all....people spend mega money building things to make more mega money, and in 30 years or more it's left to rot and decay. Is there a point to it all? Only God knows.

Trippy's a good word for it. Someone must have been tripping on weed when they picked that carpet, lol!

The neglect of an instrument that once was so majestic and beautiful truly makes me want to cry. But, in a sense, it is still performing a task for which it was designed - eliciting emotion.
