Wow. Lots of comments on this one. Mine would be AAAAAGGGGHHH!!!!!!!... This creeps me to no end. I even love SCUBA diving, but I absolutely refuse to go at night, in black, bottomless water. Geez...I weigh 150 but I am 5'11" and I am good shape. I always cringe when I see people saying 150 is overweight.

You are right Nancy. I heard about Stone Man Willie back in the late 60's from my dad at my grandmothers funeral there. I told many of my friends and we walked downtown to see him during the mid 70's. The stories are true.

Motts, I found something called the Neil Robertson Stretcher during a search during a search, and the similarity is quite apparent. It looks like the patient was strapped to the Neil Robertson and then the round "O"-ring lifted the patient in a vertical manner. Hope it helps; maybe somebody else could provide more insight???

You guys keep calling it a "boy"...is it just me or does no one else see the red lumps that seem to protrude from "her" chest? To me, it looks like a young, stocky girl facing slightly away from the camera, looking down the hall.

This doesn't look to me to be some kind of bed-lockup. It looks more like two twin sized beds shoved together with the middle "crib" walls removed to make a queen size. Notice the larger size mattresses on top. This looks more like what you'd do for a very large patient, or more likely, a patient who rolled around a lot at night and was prone to falling out of bed and injuring themselves.

Me - I thought the uvula was proprietary to a female's anatomy? =D

This room is just as disheveled as the lives of the poor people who had to live there were.......very morose.

Some equipment in hospitals are placed on carts for transport to where they are used. When these pieces are returned to Central Sterile the equipment is cleaned as usual. The carts also have to be cleaned. If the side we can't see is a slope then this area could be for hosing down the carts. Would have to know where this area is. Because the carts that deliver food are also cleaned this way.
