Missing is the track that this type of OR lamp is attached to so it can be repositioned as needed.

Does anybody (besides me) think that the opening on the wall the picture faces, looks like a fireplace? I've been in my share of delivery/operating suites and I can't figure out what it is.
Of course a fireplace would be totally against protocol. But it suggests to me that this room might have had a different function at one time and was converted. Just a thought

I was in Millbrook in October 2009 on a nostagia trip, visiting the area that I grew up in. My grandparents used to live in a house almost across the street from Bennett School. I remember going to visit them in the mid sixties and watching the Bennett students play lacrosse on the lawn. We would sneak over there and prowl around, thinking we were being very secretive. It was a fascinating place and held much promise, had it not been left to deteriorate to the point of no return.

I agree with the bad treatment these poor souls would receive...but I wouldn't at all mind a 360 degree shower for myself.

I found a Gone With The Wind biography in this room, which i kept and read. I was alone and only had a cellphone to light my way through the darkness. Creepy place indeed.
