Rocky Point will be missed, forever. It was like a little Disneyland for the people of Rhode Island, and we supported it. When youre a kid, heck, a ride is a ride!

In the 1970s, my cousins and I would go and spend the day, we were completely safe. Well, that was when we all looked out for one another, and we didn't have to worry so much about being snatched by some creepy bicycle seat smeller.

A little bit of RI history is gone.

This building was the butcher shop and food stock loading dock. I was there yesterday and spoke to a guy that worked there in that building untill 1995 his name was Gillis.

I still find it hard to believe that my beloved Rocky Point is gone. When I was a girl I would save my baby sitting money, and go just about every week during Summer.

I remember fondly filling up on fried clams and then getting on the Scrambler ride and then spewing the contents of my gut all over the other riders, then running over to the Logger's Run to wash off in the splash. After I dried in the sun I would load up on fried clams and do it all over again.

Its been many years, but Rocky Point will always live in my heart. Its a shame that such a fun place is now just memories.

I don't think I want to understand it, it might mean I think like he does.

These shots are awesome. The lighting is absolutely haunting.

It makes me so sad that a congregation could just walk away from a church as beautiful as this one, that it could just be left to the ages to destroy it at will seems godless to me.

There must be a way to save this piece of history, this monument of religious art of the era. If we continue to demolish everything old we will destroy our history.

VFW is no longer there. The Goshen Masonic Lodge is now in that building. Restored to its greatness. I am sure they will maintain the Mausoleum in respect for the Haight Family.

Im interested to see how this was shot. it doesnt look like there are any windows to look out of..or even a balcony, judging from the other end of the building...

I learned about this place after I watched the TV show, Ghost Adventures. It made me wonder something about this place.
Is this place closer to the Marian Shrine where many people are flocking to say their prayers?
As a young kid, I recalled seeing the buildings as I rode in my family's van to the shrine every time.
Is that right?

Yes, Malc, I have always been frightened of them since childhood. I have seen three of them in my life (an Emerson in storage at a local hospital in the 1960's when I was just a few years old and I also saw two Drinker models in use at a VA hospital in the late 1970's).

I just went there on October 28, 2011 with some friends around 11:20 p.m. We deff saw a security trailor in the back of the adult building but the security must have just been chillen in there cause we went through the whole building and walked around with flashlights for about an hour with no police trouble at all, and no ghostly encounters but deff got chills and it is pretty scary none the less. but i heard the childrens building is the haunted one but we didnt get to go.

I've visited that place a lot in the past as well. I also had friends get locked in a room and couldn't get out then out of the blue, the door would open...Everytime we would enter the morgue, our camcorder would randomly shut off..Me and my brother actually climbed a ladder into an attic..Pretty scary...We are thinking of going back soon with our old crew.. :)

An easy way to understand the majority of controlled drugs tend to be analgesia such as morphine , fentanyl , ketamine etc etc and it is signed in / out of the cupboard .
