In late late 2012 the main building of the Central Islip State Hospital has been remodified to a Mini Luxorious Community called islip Landings.

Central islip had that powerplant demolished around mid 2006.

This looks like Hogwarts after the great wizard battle there, wonderful shot.

Wow, what a shot. This has an other worldly feel to it, the greenish sky is what really makes this look so unique.

Anyone been here lately? The first 3 or 4 buildings you see as soon as you get off the SAG S/B have been torn down. It's sad to see all that beautiful architecture destroyed.

This is so eerie & gives off such a creepy vibe. The cracked paint, the darkness, the flooded floor & the lone wheelchair in the corner facing outward into the nothingness that is now this room, this is such a disturbing picture. I know this room was supposed to be a happy place, but it has become anything but that.

These doors look like they have been burned, the way they have rusted & begun to decay over time. If you look down the hall, what a contrast as the closer door is "burned" through & the last one is starting to show signs of it happening to that door.

Beautiful chapel & the ceiling woodwork is absolutely gorgeous, this must have been amazing to see in person.

It does have an underwater feel to it & I agree that it does look like an image from the Titanic. This is an awesome shot.
