I have some very sad news, I needed more Bennett interiors so I made a return trip this morning. There is another very large collapse, looks like it just happened. Wanderer when you visited, did you see it?

As a former inmate patient of C.I September 1973 through December 1973 I can say that these pictures give me the chills. I will have to go through all of them to find the adolescent unit.
It was one huge day room that seemed to have Soul Train on all day & the other room was the sleeping dorm with rows of beds lining each wall. We, the patients, had the enviable job of cleaning and caring for the severely brain damaged patients (retarded was the term used at the time). I had a 16 year old girl who was incontinent and also had her period.
I did see some abuse, but then just being there was abusive.
My folks didn't want me around and so warehoused me until I found a way to get out legally.

Spectator, that's actually my video ,and my boyfriend's photos. I'm glad you like the music! Rusty and I have been spending several months working on a full documentary about Bennett College. We have slowed down on other abandoned places since this doc is so much work. It's a very important place ,and loved by so many (including myself). I want to make sure her memory ,and stories live on forever. I feel cheesy saying that ,but I feel strongly about it.

Haha I live in Maryland! My mom showed my photos from when she went there with my older brother. It looked just as creepy colored and cleaned up! Even with all of the people walking around.

Unfortunately they took a lot of things out of the forest. :(

Well not much has been happening down
under guys except we bought a camper
about a month ago and are planning a
few trips away in it.Man Ive seen some
real nice ones that cost a bomb.We didn't
spend heaps but enough to be comfortable.
Shower and convience,you know,dont want
to be caught out aye.Who knows mite find
some cool old buildings to add to the photo
collection.We are coming into summer over
here so its time to get out into it.
Is everyone keeping well?Motts,Wanderer,Flora,
Pat,Iceberg,Celeste,Christina,and all the others
that have too bigger names to type.

mate.Your photos had nothing wrong with
them at all.They were to me mate (as been
said before) of an old lady just waiting for
her time to be done with this world.I would
also think that she is loving all the attention
that she has received over the years.Every
photo that you took has a memory to you
of your trip,and the steps you took to take it.
By the way,whose the ROCKER from
Millbrook?

If kids threw rocks at this I would throw rocks at them for hurting such a beautiful building

This room is amazing! It be so cool to have a banquet inside it.

So having a gas mask and particle filters for it are a good idea...gotcha.
