now THAT is a ceiling.
Little paint, some new floors, and I wouldn't mind living there.
Demon's Alley sure looks like one helluva scary place.
Everybody knows that the wheelchairs prowl the old asylums, the ominous squeaking the only sign of impending doom.
Very stylish Corinthian pillars. Looks quite fancy.
It looks like it just kicked back and is waiting for someone to come back someday.
Stencil graffitti usually looks better and has meaning, not that I condone it.
great carving. You could probably knock someone's head off with that thing, assuming you could pick it up and still swing it.
beautiful fireplace. Definitely not like what they shove into homes nowadays. Thank god for salvage shops.

Silk, I know what you mean. Right now I am going all over campus of the place where I work, looking for old books, pix, and miscellaneous items for our 100-year anniversary coming up. We are actually going to set up a museum on grounds, so I don't get the old "itchy fingers" when I see great stuff because I get to collect it now and help decide how we are going to use it in the museum.

But if I were somewhere other than here and found some marvelous items like these that had been left behind, it would be REAL tempting. Luckily for me, the threat of getting caught and going to jail for an old skull clamp is enough to stop the itch when it occurs, because if anyone is EVER going to get caught, it's me. ;-)
To be honest, I probably would have taken that skull clamp... you know.. for the museum, ;-) lol
actually, im NOT a clepto, but... I wouldn't be able to resist .... I don't know how you do Motts!!
