the fourth one is an actual brace I had to use ones very similar years ago. They are actually pretty comfortable considering its hard plastic.

I used to ride my sled down the hill next to that stack. Sometimes if there was enough ice on the road, I could almost make it to the bar across the street. Once, my Dad had to stop me from going into the road and getting run over by a car. It was a real thrill as a kid, but the hill seemed to grow smaller, as I grew older! My friends always had to meet somewhere by the bluff, when we were in town. There was as much life as there was death surrounding that place...it supported a lot of families, a bar on every corner and half of the homes surrounding it were built from the same materials, stolen in the thick of the night.

I shot almost the same photo in 1979 for a HS project, mine was from the west elevation and taken from the ground. I like yours better, using the roof top to help draw you into the Cupola. The VA Hospital in East north Port has some beautiful Gothic Architecture as well.

I went to the hotel summer of 1979 as a guest. I was 14 and met my first love. Her name was Francine Rugolo. I remember the makeshift disco and there was also a band that played there called beggars banquet. I had such a great summer there.
