Is someone in the back left corner, or is it just a trick of light. Can't get enough of your pics Motts, keep them coming.
This building was used to house the patients who were considered a danger to them selfs and others. Most of the patients in here had committed crimes, and were given a sentence of guilty by reason of insanity so they had to be put under tight lock and key. From what i've heard this building has been demolished. Despite the beauty of these buildings so much suffering happened within thair walls, but they will never build them like this again. You can tear down the building, but you can't tear down the pain that still lingers within these building. The sadness will always remain.
Wow motts awesome pics as always. I would have been afraid to go into that building with it being in such bad shape. Did u run into any problems while inside or was a little bit better on the inside.
I have a trunk just like that, I restored it my self but have no idea what year its from. Your photos are amazing keep them coming.
I had a relative that stayed here many years ago and he hung himself in a tree outside, these places were not well secured back then

I would comment on all of my favorites but there r to meny to count! ur work is very inspieraing , Im into photography my self I shot with a NIKON D60 and I live in Massachusites , I would love to go and photograph old buildings but most r looked up tight or gone :( Thank you for keeping the history of these beautifull buildens alive.
