The room could've changed functions, of course... Might have been used for storage curing the clearing-out phase, and it would be an easy leap to using a master lock because the keys for the regular locks were unavailable.

Shawn: Even my Amateur Psychologist knowledge tells me that humor can be a tool to defuse tension. Looking at these pics causes tension. Lynne, who has provided some very good information in other galleries, is just having some fun with the subject matter while enjoying the pics. There's a lot of people who see some of these and immediately leap to assumptions of abuse, gross negligence, and horror movie stuff.

I'm a Maryland native, and I always remember seeing signs for this place when my family was going somewhere... We never went, as it was always considered to be for very young kids. THanks for the pictures!
