This is a coronet rather than a crown; a crown has arches over the top. This looks like the coronet of a duke. As to who, well...

The tower was a bell tower the building was also a chapel for funerals for those interred there. The bell is still in the tower. A friend of mine toured this building recently when the caretaker showed him around. There is talk of MAYBE opening this up for one day for the public to see.

This picture takes me back to the 1950's, to see my little sister (6yrs.) trying to walk again after polio, with this type of brace and corrective boots, she was a fighter!
Alas, breast cancer caught her in 1995, after a full life with 3 kids,who still keep in touch!
