Motts I know you may not look at these comments much, but if you do. There's someone else with a site similar to yours who managed to photograph this building before renovations started. It seems it's only been in the last 9 years or so that graffiti has happened. I won't mention the name of the site but it's quite an obvious one, just google abandoned places. I saw a similar building on a book I once read. This reminds me of that book, which was about a teen girl being forced b y her father into an asylum out of fear she would end up like her mother. It makes me shiver to think that is what new patients saw....It seems so unwelcoming and cold.

This makes me sad for all the dead. Just how many bodily fluids ended up down that drain....all the moisture of a human washed away like common water.

It could have been a sort of staff resting area. Seperated from the chaos of the asylum. Like at one point maybe it had beds, tables, chairs. A break room that's what I was looking for as the right words!

That's amusing. They named a street after you in a mental institution, maybe it's a hint ;)
