Casey,
The purpose of trying to hide actual locations is to discourage vandalism, trophy taking/looting, theft, and just plain stupidity. Kids will often use old places like that for hanging out even if they are sober they inevitably start damaging the place and doing things to it, "familiarity breeds contempt".

Why why WHY are the names and locations of some places "Undisclosed" if they're abandoned?!
Did anyone know Mary V Milety? She worked here from 1921 to 1971 or something like it. It was over 50 years and there is a marker on the property commemorating her achievement.
Maybe you are someone who worked for her or her family? I wanted to know about Nurse Training at this hospital as she retired as Director of Nurses. When she started the unmarried nurses lied in a dorm out back, with chaperones and all that old fashioned stuff.

The events described in this blog took place in this hospital and some of the buildings out back that are now gone.

I was told that Geraldo Rivera did a story about this hospital in the 70's. Can anyone confirm that?
I could have been about any of the three entities using the property at the time; the hospital which was the County Geriatric Center at the time, or the County Children's Shelter or a ward which I think was on the 4th floor of one wing, for disabled children who parents could not care for at home.
I'm hoping someone remembers the story and details from it because Geraldo's Fox news website email gets no response.
Does anyone know if they trained nurses in this hospital?
Thanks.

It occurs to me just now as I revisit this page that my "gurney" had those movable side bars that prevent falling out which I think means it was a different kind of gurney from this one.
