it's so strange seeing the condition of what was once (and for many years!) a place where so many people congregated and had such fun. it doesn't feel that long ago that i was on these rides.

I remember going to Rocky Point back in the day, the Haunted House was my favorite ride. Yes, I have ridden in the "Creature" car! Thank you for stirring up old memores from a better time.

I am making a scrapbook of " Rocky Point" memories. I got a lot of great information and pictures from different websites. However I still need more information that I was not able to find. I was hoping someone could help me. Did Rocky Point have a ride called, " round up?" And what was that ride that had two round wheels each end of it? Who built the arcade? What year? I recently found out that the ride " apollo11" was later redone and renamed as the " musik Express." Cool. I used to come to this park often. Very fond memories. Sad it's gone :(

Wonderful to read all of this. My mother was born and raised in RI, I was born in Pawtucket. I remember going to RP once back in the 60's when we went back east on vacation. I will have to show mom this, she will be sad, but enjoy it! Thanks Mott for all of your photos and thanks to all of the info!
