A lot of these thing's have been saved and restored to their former glory. clarks eliok farm's is the new site for enchanted forrest. I take my little one's every fall. But we stop by to look at this old location. I went there as a child and it was great. glad to see someone care enough to say the majority of what was left.
The sad partis that it is abandoned, Iam a person who visted the park in it glory days and o what fun was had to be a queen or king for the day. All that have missed this great advanture sorry for you I am one that would loive to see it opened for my grandchildren. all my wonderfull advantures of a child mary
Times aren't like they used to be. This would, like a lot of posters here, remain a distinct memory for me had I got the chance to see it. Everything was old school and not computerized. Kids today, at least the ones I'm around (NOT my kid!) don't like anything unless it's lasers, computers, mechanical, etc... or the oft compared to six flags, which is just a huge faceless corporate cookie cutter theme park. Maybe bigger, faster, etc... but this place, even abandoned, and perhaps moreso because of that- was intended to be a place of enchantment and wonder.
This place seems to be holding up pretty well. It's so magical and mysterious, esp. this shot.... a house made with a giant ice cream cone, 'frosting' for mortar and a castle in the background? Very cool. I'd probably live there if I could. I think it would be fun to live in a 'gingerbread' house. Lord knows I have a sweet tooth. XD
I recall going to this park in the late 50's/early 60's. The one part I recall the most was Jonah's whale. The whale was "beached" at the lake and you step into it's mouth.
