But we stop by to look at this old location. I went there as a child and it was great. glad to see someone care enough to say the majority of what was left.

This photo reminds me of the first world war. I can imagine a Prussian officer blowing a whistle to announce a coming bombardment.
Times aren't like they used to be. This would, like a lot of posters here, remain a distinct memory for me had I got the chance to see it. Everything was old school and not computerized. Kids today, at least the ones I'm around (NOT my kid!) don't like anything unless it's lasers, computers, mechanical, etc... or the oft compared to six flags, which is just a huge faceless corporate cookie cutter theme park. Maybe bigger, faster, etc... but this place, even abandoned, and perhaps moreso because of that- was intended to be a place of enchantment and wonder.
Even the trees are taking a rest....I like how they are leaning toward the water.
This place seems to be holding up pretty well. It's so magical and mysterious, esp. this shot.... a house made with a giant ice cream cone, 'frosting' for mortar and a castle in the background? Very cool. I'd probably live there if I could. I think it would be fun to live in a 'gingerbread' house. Lord knows I have a sweet tooth. XD
This is pretty bizarre; kinds makes you wonder about fairy tales sometimes...lol.. I like those little feet going up the chimney. :)

I recall going to this park in the late 50's/early 60's. The one part I recall the most was Jonah's whale. The whale was "beached" at the lake and you step into it's mouth.

LOL. Twisted indeed. Nice shot though.

Lovely, ghostly shot. This location sort of reminds me of a similar place in Oregon.

This is why the idea of analog amusement parks never really caught on.
