these images bring back a barrage of memories from my earliest childhood. We moved from Baltimore in 1958 so most of my recollections are from a 4 yr old's memory.... these are familiar even in my 'aged' haze
great job my parents know all about this place

I clearly remember the fishing pond! I was probably 5 years old at the time, but I recall the fish wouldn't eat the corn. I was getting upset, so my dad stuck a piece of hot dog or whatever lunch he had on the hook so I could win. Cheating, but the kid manning the booth didn't care.
Went there today. if only I could post a pic of what it looks like now. I had to climb on a window to get to these steps because the bottom half of the steps are totally collapsed.
I found this website earlier today and decided to venture to Ellicott City for a look at this place. Sadly, these teacups were nowhere to be found. Whether the summer flora had disguised most of the park under the brush or the construction crew that tore down most of the theme park had already removed them, our search did not prove fruitful. T'was fun, nonetheless. Only the castle, gingerbread house and swamp remain. The ruin has been ruined. Better luck with our next trip, hopefully!

This cabin was huck finns fishing hut. There was a small pond beside it where kids could try to catch goldfish with corn. A lucky catch would earn you a card saying you were a member of huck finns fishing club. I wonder if the pond survived.

Many of the smaller structures and figures ave been saved, restored, and relocated to Clark's Elioak Farm in MD, which is closed for their season and will open back up in the spring of 2014. On this page is a list of everything you can see there. http://www.clarklandfarm.com/CEF EF Moving to the Farm.htm

Haha I live in Maryland! My mom showed my photos from when she went there with my older brother. It looked just as creepy colored and cleaned up! Even with all of the people walking around.

Unfortunately they took a lot of things out of the forest. :(

I have no idea what the state of the park is these days, but 8 years ago it was not publicly accessible.

So there is public access to the entire park? I would love to come take some photos but I'm just double checking if I can get to everything you guys photographed.
Thanks
