Thanks Yester Year! It's great to see all those concrete forms being rebuilt so well; I'm definitely overdue for a trip to Maryland, I'd love to swing by and see them again in person.
Hello Mr. Motts. Your photos are really amazing....but Im not sure if you know in the true way. Meaning...you touched a lot of people and brought back fond memories of the times ... back in their YesterYears that they had been there. The reason I say this is you only briefly note that ...unlike most abandoned parks...this one has an after life. Yes...Fortunately the original park owners were able to save many of its features from the park and relocate them to their farm...and refurbished them for past and future kids to enjoy.

If you Google the park name "the enchanted forest Elicott City, MD" you will find many articles about this.

Two of note are
From the farm owners itself:

(Be sure to check out the "gallery of Enchanted Forest photos" at the bottom of the page.)

And this one.

(this one notes that the Gingerbread house was saved...but this is not so)

Anyway....so if you're in Maryland - Elicott City....You can still see some of your fond memories. ....They just celebrated their 60th birthday.

Enjoy!

Bottomline Mr Motts...I wanted you to know many people are thanking you for bringing back these memories.
Oh my goodness! This place is so awesome and beautiful. Please don't tear it down! If the owners went public on social media I bet you would get lots of restoration help and support. I know the response would surprise you. It's worth saving!

Who is the little kid sitting on top the mountain? Yes - I remember how hot my butt was on this slide!! I don't remember the Pompei Mt. V story behind it but I remember Little Toot and the slide....maybe it's not a kid but it looks like one?

The Whale was from "Jonah and the Whale" and the voice we heard was of Jonah talking about being in the Whale's stomach. I had my 5th birthday party here...I think it was in a birthday cake house. I remember having a girl party host and a midget who played musical chairs and made us balloon animals...we actually called that man a midget..terrible. I remember him like it was yesterday though...he was so much fun! We took "Little Toot" over to get on the side. Pretty sure that's all it was. A big metal (super fast it seemed) slide built to look like we were sliding down a mountain side. I loved this place. Across from the Whale was Humpty Dumpty (he was on a wall).
