I'd like to go. im 25 and from long island..anyone wonna get a group of people to meet up there and go let me know..email me i live in suffolk too..lata...
Just went in there tonight... Soooo creepy but didn't here nothing or see anything.. Went with legit ten friends.. I highly recommend it, it makes you feel a lot safer I felt fine.. Not sure what bldng we went into but we went up several floors.. Very fun. And creepy. And these comments creeped me out :(
My ambulance company still responds to calls to this building. The place is creepy is Hell at night, and I normally have all of the flood lights on, especially since half of the remaining buildings are empty or inactive and it's easy to get lost.
I literally live 5 minutes from the hospital....I have never been inside any of the buildings...but to get in the morgue I just might have to....and as far as all the concerns about getting caught here,...I have spoken with the NYS department of mental health police a few times, and they have told me that the only areas that still belong to Pilgrim state are the buildings that are still in use...thats it....the rest of it belongs to heartland now...but that there security is there almost constantly....I'm curious about the tunnels...anyone know anything about those?
I think that one of the reasons why we fear these people is that unless you know them well they are very unpredictable. And then there are all those psycho murderer movies...
too all those people who suffered the stuff done to them and those who have family may they rest in peace and there soles be lifted and brought to heaven . i had family work there . it is very unpleasent thing to see. :(
im very intrested in this as well as many others. so sorry for all those stuff and things that where done . people are so rude and have NO HEART WHAT SO EVER! those are the people who desrve to be exicuted and or put in jail for the REST OF THERE LIFE. harshfullness :(
Although this trip I had taken there was the greatest trip ever I would def advise u to go with many people bc I went wit 4 and the bums that live in there could be violent and come in groups believe me it happened to us that night so wen u go bring at least 5 people and bring some sort of a weapon to keep u safe
Great site, beautiful pics, I have been so intrigued by PS I too have taken pics (outside! Dont have the nerve to go in!!!). But these visuals are stunning,
Mom worked at KP for years, I was always terrified of it, and admittedly and sadly of the mentally ill as well. I guess I grew up hearing real horror stories and they impressed me.
As far as Andrew is concerned, I think I know him. His post was written in 2005, and if its the kid I know, he would now be 20-21. Destructive, sick, and yes, most definitely belongs on the "other side of the key" as someone stated. Sadly we sometimes forget that people who are mentally ill have very few places to turn these days and prescriptions only help so much.
Oh, heres a thought... when KP and PS closed most /all of their doors, I was told by Mom (long time KP employee until 94ish) that the state literally bussed out the patients. Loaded them on a NYC bound bus and dumped them in NYC, with pratically nothing. (Hence the high population of mentally ill homeless)... ever wonder if they try to make it back "home"? Not something I would want to run into during my urban exploration... I guess that why Ive been too chicken to go inside.
I went there last week and too be honest too say i couldnt go in it was way to scary and i was over pressured alot of people I know that went say that they see shadows going up the stairs and patients who have passed looking out the window ... Its something Im deff into right now and I wanna know more about ...
I find it so hard to believe i live fifteen minutes away from a place that only seems to exist in the movies i watch. It is very interesting but sad at the same time i just wish all the stories that people said on this would mesh because quite frankly they aren't mixing well. Sort of like orange juice and tooth paste. I wish someone just told me what really happened something that made all these stories go together.
