The showers had curtains. After you got in, you took off your bathrobe and ran the water. And, you brought in your own soap.

I remember when the "3rd floor dorm" had about 60 of us. The "senior dorm" was on the second floor above the gym.
When I was there, total school enrollment was declining from about 145 to about 85. My class graduated with 14 seniors.

Joe DiBella taught me to cut hair. I used to do two each morning after breakfast! Whoever was getting a haircut got out of his chores for that day, and a "substitute" had to do that guy's chore.
Saturdays during the Spring, we'd have the windows open and the doors at the back of the corridor - great cross breeze, and a great place to be!

My Dad was an electrician and member of the parent's group. He volunteered and I helped him install the flourescent lighting, which replaced three old incandescent hanging fixtures with large bowl-like globes. I hated how it went from dark and warm to bright and cold. It would have broken my Dad's heart if he had lived to see the place decay so...
