LoL! I LOVE it! The local college put on Rocky Horror Picture Show and a bunch of my friends and I all dressed up and brought along the proper accoutrements! It was SO fun! A bunch of grandparents were sitting in front of us...needless to say, they got a little wet! But they ended up thanking us for helping them have a better time! I was all paranoid that they would be really mad at us! Again, I love it!

This shot is absolutely amazing, Motts! I love the light and shadow contrast on the building and the sky is beautiful! Thank you!

Just to throw in: Kirkbride was a style of building for asylums. It was named after the creator of it. It is most distinguished as being symetrical along the Y axis (when viewed from above). There was a large front entryway, then a short hallway going back on each side, followed by a long hallway with rooms. It continued in this pattern until the end of the asylum. They are usually ornate in a gothic sense, and (as you can see) beautiful for years and years after being empty. Check this out for more: http://www.kirkbridebuildings.com/

It's Catholic. That's St. Backy, the patron saint of urban exploration.

Cyrus No, you are not being rude.
Still a small part of the medical building standing. Not to much work done today. I do know they plan on using explosives to blow the ground, but don't know when. I have not been up back this week and do not know if they started on the cafeteria yet.
