Actually, I can see Snoopy in the dark , upper half of the wall, next to the far left window. He's sitting there, looking out the window....the others are hard to make out. I guess if you look hard enough at the shapes in the stains, and places where the paint fell off, you could make ou tjust about anything....Cool....It's Dr Snoopy, contemplating a patient while looking out the window...
Yep,after a while those dead people would start to smell, plus the hassle of stepping over them all the time. I agree with Serrena, leave dead people alone, and they probably won't bother you either.
I just found this website and can't stop looking at these pictures. I worked at Danvers State Hospital in 1967. I also lived in Middleton and could see the "Castle" from my house. These pictures bring me back in time. I can rmember walking the huge hallways and the solariums. I can hear the large steel doors slamming behind me as I walk from one ward to another. I remember the weight of the keys that were tied around my waist. These pictures are amazing, but to see this building in this state also saddens me. Thanks for the great pictures!
yo that place is no joke def the scariest place ive ever been to i would have gotten inside if it werent for the cops.. there is like a station right there so be careful if you decide to go in.

Pink is a calming color-espically of the Pepto Bismal spectrum. They use it a lot in detox and drunk tanks to help ensure you don't get rowdy. Maybe that's what this room was for?? Or it could just be a girls room, who knows.
