I believe I have one of these, it called a craftmatic. You can adjust it to any contour that suits you.

I have been in this room and the room next to it is creapy cause it is all the old kitchen stuff that looks mad creapy. The tunnels are the best about this place.

Been There!
I spent many a summer at the pines , while growing up. the person who ran the salon was named Smitty.
No one ever made a fuss over this and that mural has been in there since the early 1970's when I first rode this ride.

I grew up at 115 Pennhurst Road (that;s the last house on the right going up the road toward the hospital from bridge street). I was born shortly before the institute was shut down but my parents say that at night you could hear the screamers and that sometimes the patients wandered off and they'd have to steer them back in the right direction. I'm only now getting interested in the place I grew up only meters from. The history of the place seems long and very sad. Thanks for all the great shots. It looked very diffrent at 14 with a flashlight and 5 of your buddies!
The building in the background is indeed the Rocky Point Shore Dinner Hall. BEST CLAM CAKES in the world! On the lower level on the street side they had walk up window for to-go orders. They did also serve Hot Dogs, Burgers and Fries.

Personally, I think it has a kind of sad beauty to it...

Then again, I'm just weird like that. the crazy architecture just appeals to me somehow...

And I'd rather have that overlooking a playground than some dreadful housing estate (I think that's what it's gonna be now, right?)

I doubt you'll ever read this, Barbara, but it is quite common in abandonned properties to find baths in strange locations.

Any number of intruders could have some reason for trying to move it, even though t's heavy, from kids trying to do something moronic like riding it down the stairs/throwing it off a balcony to thieves who try to move it, and decide that it's too much effort.
