Okay, probably obvious, but I meant "in" not "on" damn typos!

Okay, I know nothing about the way in which these things work, but is there any possibility it could have served some other purpose here, such as a type of muscular stimulation?

This is probably a load of rubbish - Just trying to suggest another alternative to the ridiculous hideous torture theory.

I really don't get the "repulsive and decrepit" idea at all.

Each of these photos captures a moment in the dilapidation and dereliction of an old building. sad, maybe, poignant, but never "repulsive".

looking at the photo again. in this particular case, it would definately be due to the ceiling collapse - anything that was on the roof would have come through, and continued to grow and develop in its new home...

sorry for the double-posting...

rtotten -

Once a place like this closes, nature takes over.

All it takes is a couple of broken windows/other openings (eg, collapsed ceiling/wall), and plant life starts creeping in.

At the same time, water penentrates through roofs and ceilings, and mold begins to develop (not to mention rot!).

Any dust in the place after the closure will begin to settle, and build up. over time, bits of ceilings will come down as well.

Personally, I think it has a kind of sad beauty to it...

Then again, I'm just weird like that. the crazy architecture just appeals to me somehow...

And I'd rather have that overlooking a playground than some dreadful housing estate (I think that's what it's gonna be now, right?)

I doubt you'll ever read this, Barbara, but it is quite common in abandonned properties to find baths in strange locations.

Any number of intruders could have some reason for trying to move it, even though t's heavy, from kids trying to do something moronic like riding it down the stairs/throwing it off a balcony to thieves who try to move it, and decide that it's too much effort.
