I went there a couple times in the 80's. UBER-spooky...and had a blast. The one time I went with a buddy and two girls and we got snagged by Johnny Law. They ended up letting us go as we obviously were not dressed to break into the place (we really were just driving by and turned around in one of the driveways). I was 17 at the time and TERRIFIED! It is one spooky place!
What has always amazed me is that the neighborhoods are nice and just across the street...and the place is totally empty. Very spooky! AWESOME pics!

i was employed at PSH from 1953-60, at Bldg.63, (Staff house) Also lived in the "circle" for a time. pilgrim was such a vastly beautiful place, some of the best days of my life spent there. Recently drove thru grounds and was moved to tears at the disgrace of condition it is in now. It was a wonderful time in my life.

It's perspective that makes it look that way, markymark. See how the lines diverge as they come toward the camera? It's pretty clear that there were only meant to be 4 chandeliers here.

I think that its ymbolic, of how theres a door, and theres an option to get in or out. Like u.... u had the option motts.

i agree with chay . i also think it may have plexiglass to protect it . because you just never know.

i still feel ther should be another chandolier . its still beautiful .
