I wonder why there is a lack of graffeti on the one floor?
It looks like that scene from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...fizzy lifting drink anyone?
that girl was killed in there and they say that she was sick and that her friend was not real. She had gotton lost and went inside the room where they say that a women talks people into doing strange things. It's all over the world the storys of a women inside of bulidings waitting for people to come in.
Wow..when I first saw the walls in this pic I thought of autumn with the red and orange leaves falling off the bare trees. I think that's probably why I find this picture so calming. I can almost smell that October smell.
By far, one of my favorites

I am assuming that the smokestack is still in place. The power to the building would be to light the funny red lights on it. Anything over so many feet tall has to have clearance lights on. It's an FAA regulation.

I find it hard to believe that when this partition had taken its toll and fell back, it didn't take any paint off of the side walls... Amazes me.

Oh, well that explains it!

See, my mothers cousin, twice removed on my fathers side that I was telling you about, who used to work on these back in the '10s, he lost three toes, two ribs and his right eyebrow when the doohickey malfunctioned, causing a horrific accident. If only they had spent that little bit extra and used thingees, it wouldnt have ended in such a tragedy.

Its a shame that this building is going to be bulldozed to make way for 400 house Senior Citizen Complex called Encore Palisades. I hope someone salvages these wooden doors or atleast the hardware..there absolutely gorgeous. Rest in Peace Letchworth..lol Only one good thing about this is that they plan to restore Stewart Hall for their recreation house.
