Sorry, yes you are correct, the facility moved to Hartford in 1996. I'm not sure what became of the hospital building; I'm guessing it was used for administrative purposes after that year.

I'm guessing an air vent and return, for heating.

Interesting photo. The hospital I was in briefly had a secure ward and a "quiet room" for when patients had an outburst. I would imagine it was padded with soft material so the patient would not be able to harm him or herself. (I don't know if Lynne or Twug are still active but maybe they could also give a simplier explaination).

Something tells me that Sam Fist guy is a huge douche. The photos from Mister Motts are really neat. I saw an old episode of "Ghost Hunters" when they were filming at Norwich LEGALLY I might add.

Oh my. Now that would be unsettling to find poking around Norwich.

am hoping something happens in '16 if not off to there anyhow unless Scotland and Ireland get in the way
Very nice photo. I really like how the light filters through the window.
One thing I have noticed. There is none of that annoying graffiti anywhere and the place has not been destroyed by immature kids. Okay I guess that would be too things. Still really interesting photos.

This information cannot be accurate. My daughter had neurosurgery at Newington Children's hospital in 1993. Your information states the hospital moved to Hartford in 1986. Perhaps you mean 1996? And what of the hospital building that was in use in 1993?
Lived in Ogdensburg for number of years..1998 part of the facility was utilized by both Justice Dept & Mental Health ..known bout tunnels underneath.. Steel doors chains or remnant of shackles on walls ..tales of Lobotomy..Torture.. Would be awesome Ghost hunter pit stop.. Just might with old team of hunters..2016 Catacombs most under water when lived there.
Interesting pic. Reminds me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre
