P.S. I actually don't believe that this particular area that Motts photographed (above) was used for alcoholic beverages, but I had just recently learned that beer, wine, and whiskey WERE purchased by institutions in the "old days", and I thought it was an interesting fact. :-)

ive been inside of all the buildings... including 93... n that shit is scary... i mean i went in the morgue with a cpl of my buddies n we opened up one of the containers n then we just started hearin like strange noises n shit is was bizarre... not to mention all the elctroshock therapy that went on there.. n labotamys n shit like that.... n we found like straight jackets n shit.... u guys can say whatever u want bout it not scaring u n how u think ppl are stupid for associating supernatural shit with KPPC but dont say shit till uve been in there n shit.... go in the tunnels n tell me u aint scared when all of a sudden u become freezing cold n then the nextt second your not.... so like i say... dont knock it til uve tried it

these like the engines used in ships. they drive a gear reducer that in turn runs a generator. Smewhere ther is a big coal or gas fired boiler

There was no "Green Room" There were 3 dressing rooms. One for the Emcee, One for the band and one for the acts. There were also 3 bathrooms. I spent my entire adolescent life backstage at the Pines, as my dad was Johnny Greco, the Emcee for most of the 60's, 70's and 80's until his death in 1990. I'll be glad to answer any questions about the Persian Room or the Skating Rink or anything else about this wonderful, but forgotten showplace.
