Hi, Irish, if you don't mind my volunteering an answer... By the looks of the nurses' uniforms, I would say it looks, to me, to be between 1890 and 1910.

Although most people believe this was the worst place and how people were treated very bad, I visited my mother there often-and when it shut down and threw everyone out-Take a stroll downtown Norwich -look in the alleys-look toward the dumpsters-under the bridge-you wiil find patients of the NSH, alone and suffering more than you can imagine.
Yeah it's sad that they will remve most but as an old state guard.....hint they are saying that some blds will stay. The blds are amazing and unique part of our past..thanks for the pics I never could take

those tiles are definetly from around the early 1900's because my grandparents house was built in 1910 and the have those tiles in all three of the bathrooms.
