wow
By: Mike 1st floor were the Science class-rooms and band room. In mid-80's Bro. Jim Mara had us all raise small pets (snakes, Guinea Pigs, etc). There was a really old priest named Fr. Moskal (Earth Science) who would pour Mercury (highly toxic) out of a bottle and have us hold it in our hands. To demonstrate a circuit he had us all join hands with one person holding the gas valve on a lab table. He would then stick his own finger in an electrical outlet.

wHaT??!?! LOL!? Could you elaborate on this and any other similar anecdotes a little more? For some reason, (?) I just find this hysterical, erm, I don't know if I am supposed to be laughing at this or not, but I find it amusing.

When one of my friends and I were *very* young (around four or five,) we used to take markers and draw li'l illustrations and/or the word "poop" on small rocks.

*sigh* Kids will be kids, eh? This just reminded me of those times.

I recently found a nice Hall's Safe here in Illinois. patent and pictorals place it at around 1870. Now to open :)
Because it would cost the state $$$ to destroy them . There are many files left abandoned in many state properties. Most have names, addresses, S.S# etc. Everything a peson needs to commit identity theft. But nothing will be done until it DIRECTLY effects them and by them I mean the superintendent ( the big wigs ) in the state run divisions, DMR, DMH, DSS

haha, there are guards who really do take time to patrol the area to make sure no-one is doing anything they shouldnt
they dont really have a problem with people being in there
just taking things or damaging, as said on the sign

but as happened to some friends of mine, they have fun with their job....
my friends were exploring the abandoned buildings at night [not advisable] so the guards decided to follow them, and try to scare them as much as possible. creeping up behind them, making noises, banging, heavy breathing and the like. then finally jumping out at them, scaring them half to death, then leading them out, laughing and telling them to go home

so yes, us brits really are strange enough to take time to patrol empty buildings XD

how on earth could that be a soap dispenser?
it is the wrong shape, and not to mention there is no 'push button' to dispense it with!

it looks like a light to me, us brits dont build soap dispensers with, uh, wires
