very awesome!

It's funny to look at this site because I have a picture of this building in my dining room from the 90's, before it was all boarded up.

My Grandfather was the engineer at Pilgrim State. My dad lived in one of these houses when he was younger and helped cook for the patients. Some of the patients would come and help my grandma around the house.

So most people are thinking, "This place is creepy as hell."

I'm thinking, "Oh wow. My dad lived there."

Well I do my practice and soon work in much smaller complection mental hospital in Estonia and in so called "violent ward". I think it couldn't have been worse than nowerdays then, when the ward- A worked. There were only few truly agressive patients I think.. This all violent thing is overblown..

Fab pictures and such shame that buildings as great as this one are left to rot through rack and ruin. These structures are a testament to our forgotten heritage and what once made us proud.

Ive been there several times in '06 never got caught. But I have heard voices and seen shadows in the windows next to the side parking lot.

I think its' a scream when Tom Tom does that.

I been there the floor has soft spots be careful.

Perhaps it is a moot point , but hotel and motel and boatel keys are notorious for walking away yet you never hear about it.
Doesn't seem to make any difference.




There ARE some things I did NOT take from businesses I worked at that closed down twenty years ago and I am still kicking myself for it today.

I've been twice. It's a strange place. I think the reports of why they closed the school are falsified, as it seemed apparent from artifacts found that people other than "retarded" children/adults were kept in the compound. Also, why did the military put a building in the middle? Think about it. Clearly, human experiments were carried out here. To cover their tracks, they closed it and installed a miliary base.

And to think there was a time when there was only one phone co., Bell, and it was illegal to own a phone.
If you moved and wanted to take the phone with you(try that w/o a phone!)one had to call the phone co. and wait (take a day off from work?) for the man to come out and unplug it from the wall.
