The book was wonderful.
I'd rate it a very rare " 10 "
When the book was newly out , I couldn't wait to get home from work so I could read a chapter; two chapters; three....no! , save some for tomorrow. It was like a movie playing-out in series in my head, And my only fear was that indeed it would one day end.
The perfect book. If King wrote nothing else, he had that.
Seven years later I rented the movie on VHS at the video stor(remember them?) around the corner from me and the girl said;" OOh, scary "
I was so disappointed.
My brother told me I might be,as I could recite thet book verbatim.
The movie was SO different from the book.
I just can't believe it.
It took many years for me to aquire a taste, any taste, for the flick and bring my self around to say that the film has some merit on its' own.
The publisher did use stills from the movie in the version of the book I have, and that helprd ease the pain.
Anyway, as I have said before, I had a tremendous hangover , I ate a box of Triscuits, shouted, threw the box at the door and pounded on the door, but no one let me out..........................
..no...I don't think I've seen a plant like that before, and I've seen a few, having been interested in botony all my life.
Sort of like miniature corn stalks...
We have left a legacy ; its' called chlorflorocarbon, although Owsley(check out the Bear's website comments) says this is not so, but a lie perpetrated by Dupont so they could sell thier inferior refrigerant.
I didn't think R12 and R22 etc. accounted for all that damage. (Owsley is the guy who suppled all that acid to the Grateful Dead, and the world. He's also the decendant of the Kentucky govenor of the same name.)
Hum, 12 " laser discs. The 8-track of video.
Don't see them anymore.
Discs cost upwards of $80 and you couldn't record.Glad I never owned one.
Last I heard in early 1992 on news radio was they ceased making them, but two co.'s would remain to service them.
Kind of makes you glad if you didn't own one.
yes indeed there is something or someone in the window. you can also see the branch of the evergreen tree,it stops short right at the egde of the window frame. or it could just be something that camera picked and came out when it was developed,if motts developes his own pics too. there also might be a smeare or the picture that give the illusion that someone or something is in the window.
