I had a aunt that worked for Byberry from 1950 to 1952.

I thought someone said that it will be demolished.

can you get into the building or is it guarded and blocked off???

My brother was a cook for this hospital. I remember this cafeteria well. Very sad to see it like this.

Having spent too much time in psych. hospitals it seems only right that the walls are caving in there. Too imagine the nightmares those patients went through as psychiatry was first getting it's foothold and experimenting with drugs and shock treatments. It seems fitting that the walls containing all those memories should crumble - as if it is too much to bear. The pictures are beautiful.

Looks like the concrete building in the for ground may have been an engine room. The raceways look to still have power transferring chains in them.

Can almost smell the dirt and coal oil.

It is fun to see the earlier pictures with the stark naked grounds and to now see in this shot the jungle reclaiming it's territory. Nice Shot!
