Looks like the concrete building in the for ground may have been an engine room. The raceways look to still have power transferring chains in them.

Can almost smell the dirt and coal oil.

It is fun to see the earlier pictures with the stark naked grounds and to now see in this shot the jungle reclaiming it's territory. Nice Shot!

The Crane, I bet, was used for lifting stuff.

Keeping them outside on a frozen winters night is better???? I think these places though not perfect did serve a useful purpose and a lot of good people gave a lot of good care. There are not perfect answers to these situations. Vagrancy on the streets is the worse option in my book.

I think they out to hang some potted plants in front of it to give a three dimensional effect . I know were there is one hanging above a door.

They should have hung them around the plant from two pictures ago. Then it would be double catastrophe bad. Har Har
